Famed Bible Answer Man now Apostolic Orthodox!! Conversion from Protestant to Orthodox 18/4/2017 12:00 πμ

He was received into the Orthodox church through chrismation in Charlotte, North Carolina, along with his wife and two of his 12 children.

[He] is an American author, radio talk-show host and advocate of evangelical Christianity. He is an outspoken figure within the Christian countercult movement where he has established a reputation for his criticisms of non-Christian religions, new religious movements or cults and heresies within conservative Christianity. He is also a preterist apologist on doctrinal and cultural issues. I wish him and his family well as he journeys forward.

After a recent conversion to the Eastern Orthodox faith, “Bible Answer Man” Hank Hanegraaff has rebranded himself and his radio program as “Apostolic Tradition Man,” he announced on a Friday broadcast.

“Our desire is to equip you to reason from the traditions passed down over centuries to find the answers for your life,” Hanegraaff said in the introduction to his show. “We must all be Bereans, examining the historical teachings of the church through the years to see whether or not a particular doctrine is true.”
“I’m really glad we have such a wealth of material to sift through—so much simpler than when I used to go right to the Bible,” he added.
As several listeners called into the program throughout the broadcast, Hanegraaff could be heard rustling through ancient tomes and scrolls containing the teachings of various Orthodox church fathers spread across his desk to find the right answers to the various questions posed to him, sources confirmed.

...to theologize " is permitted only to those who have passed examinations and have reached theoria(revelation or spiritual experience), and who have been previously purified in soul and body, or at least are being purified ." [7]

This state of theoria is two fold or has two stages: a)mind and spirit focused on God, b) Experience of God, a vision of the glory of God in Christ. The normal functions of the body, such as sleeping, eating, drinking, and digestion are suspended. In other respects, the intellect and the body function normally. One does not lose consciousness, as happens in the ecstatic mystical experiences of non-Orthodox Christian and pagan religions. One is fully aware and conversant with his environment and those around him, except that he sees everything and everyone saturated by the uncreated glory of God, which is neither light nor darkness, and nowhere and everywhere at the same time. This state may be of short, medium, or long duration. In the case of Moses it lasted for forty days and forty nights. The faces of those in this state of glorification give off an imposing radiance, like that of the face of Moses, and after they die, their bodies become holy relics. These relics give off a strange sweet smell, which at times can become strong. In many cases, these relics remain intact in a good state of preservation, without having been embalmed. They are completely stiff from head to toe, light, dry, and with no signs of putrefaction.
